We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team in Denver. As a Windows Engineering Lead at TruU, Inc., you will take charge of the development and enhancement of our Windows-based applications, focusing on robustness, security, and scalability. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in shaping our product roadmap and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure Windows applications using C# and potentially C++.
- Implement and enhance authentication mechanisms, including WinBio and Credential Providers, to strengthen security features.
- Apply application design principles (SOLID / DRY), design patterns, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and technical specifications.
- Utilize Agile Application Development and Scrum methodologies to drive efficient project execution.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Windows software development using C#.
- Proficiency in authentication mechanisms, WinBio, and Credential Providers is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of application design principles (SOLID / DRY), design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Familiarity with C++ is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. t.
- Experience working collaboratively in distributed teams to ship major features and releases.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members in remote settings.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

- Experience with cloud technologies and security protocols.
- Knowledge of biometric authentication systems.
- Previous experience in the security or authentication industry.
- Experience with directory services such as Azure or Okta.
- Familiarity with FIDO2 authentication standards.
